About Me

My Path to This Work

Portrait of Stefan Steiger
If someone had told me a few years ago that I would one day offer energy work, I would have laughed.

I studied business and technology at the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology. I was thoroughly rational and mind-driven—firmly rooted in science and logic, and far removed from my feelings. To be honest, I considered energy work to be imaginary.

And yet, throughout my life, one question stayed with me—one that reached deeper than anything I had studied: Who am I, really? Surely this cannot be all there is.

Then I went through a period of deep personal crisis. I searched for answers for a long time and tried many things. Meditation brought me greater inner calm—but the real turning point came when I began to go radically inward and feel everything that had been suppressed within me. For more than a year and a half, for many hours each day, I moved through the layers of my inner world—old emotions, tension in the body, and everything that had accumulated there over decades. My body began to move and release on its own—spontaneous movements known as kriyas in the yogic tradition. Breathwork helped me let go even more deeply.

At the end of this path, something happened that words can only describe inadequately: a complete letting go. What remained was a deep inner stillness—a peace that has stayed with me ever since.

Some time later, I discovered something unexpected: When I place my hands on another person and—just as in my own process—release control, they begin to move on their own. They find the places where something is being held, and there something begins to release. I am only an observer and a channel: It is not I who acts, but a higher intelligence—life energy itself—which flows through me into the other person and releases what is ready to be released. It feels as though I am connected with the person before me and can sense what their innermost being needs at that moment.

Today, I support people in letting go of what they are not—so that what they truly are can become visible. This work fulfils me so deeply that I ended my self-employment in business to devote myself to it completely. That world was about figures, projects, and results—but never about what truly makes people happy. Seeing someone let go, open up, and find their way back to themselves step by step gives me a sense of fulfilment I had never known in all the years before. Because in the end, life is about one thing: being at peace with yourself—and living authentically. When you let go of what you are not, that is what remains. And that is what I call happiness.

My own path—from convinced sceptic to witness of what lies beyond the mind—helps me connect with people who have never related to spirituality.
